What to pack?!?

Some materials and choices for travel art are easy- one that I found challenging was choosing a “reasonable” amount of yarn to pack- what colors? How much? At home I have a good palette of yarn to choose from but it isn’t really all that easy to bring along, unless I decide to forgo packing clothing…

But, I am planning to weave, I do want to work at capturing colors and impressions and hope I’ve made some good choices in imagining what I might need. I began by going through all of the colors and taking a strand or two of each- will I need hot pink? Maybe one strand. Dark green? Several strands and so on. It created a sweet little bundle.
Shortly after that, I came across a sale through Mirrix on a starter bundle of Faro yarns- small bobbins of a lot of colors. Between these two stashes I feel ready to go, at least in terms of yarn! Now for paint, pencils, brushes…
