Sky Color

I ran out of sky color yarn! And, I know, I planned this, right? I packed lots of greens and blues and browns but... That threw me. I was determined to finish a weaving and start another, but not to be.
(And consider reading the book Sky Color: https://www.amazon.com/Sky-Color-Creatrilogy-Peter-Reynolds/dp/0763623458, It’s a good one).
So, I shifted and that’s ok but I spent some time reflecting today- if I were to do this again, would I come with a specific project planned and all ready to go, or with an open mind to see what would evolve as I did this time? Which led to thinking about the pros and cons of all this solitude as well- I’ve enjoyed being able to do what I want, when I want. To not worry about keeping a home or planning meals or the many things that usually fill up a day. Which has allowed a lot of work to happen. But I’m hitting the point of being two weeks away from home and that is tugging me right now too. Maybe that’s the most important thing I bring back with me! To a place where I know there is plenty of sky color.
